WOW! I got my first from the Active Rain staff! Thank you!
When Rob and I were growing up, Mom and Dad 
created an incentive program that lasted for years. Some of the features, as I remember them, were:
Keep room clean.
Keep bathroom clean.
Do dishes.
Take out trash.
Do homework.
Be home before street light went on.
Get along with brothers.
Obey parents.
Nothing earth shaking, just doing what was right. When we did what was right, we received a . Thursday night was Family Night. If all three boys had a week, then Mom and Dad would buy a new board game (or something special) that we would share together as a family. (Hey Rob, do you remember the Video Village game?) If we didn't have a great week, we still shared together as a family on Family Night.
On Active Rain, we get a when we have a great post. Here's the best part of Active Rain...if you don't have a great week, you can still share with your Active Rain family and you don't have to wait until Thursday night!

This past week, February 8, Mom and Dad celebrated 55 years of marriage!!! Congratulations and thank you for all the positive encouragement you have been to us and countless others throughout your lives!!!
