Vancouver Home Stager throws a punch...

...of color into a bathroom

Here is an interesting bathroom. Although cold feeling, I generally liked it when I first saw it. The fixtures were modern and even though the green wall isn't my favorite shade, I appreciated how it played off the polished concrete floor.

Bathroom Before Vancouver Home Staging

Painting this room a warmer color was not an option. Also the wall that is white is covered with plexi-glass so hanging artwork was restricted to the green wall.

 Did you think of orange?

Home Staging by Reveal Estate

I felt it important to match the intensity of the green with another strong, warm, complimentary color. I also wanted to pull some of the gray of the concrete floor color up onto the wall with artwork. Because the orange is intense (like red), it directs the eye. I used orange accents only in the area shown to keep the eye focused. This created a cohesive look that buyers desire.

Jackson ~ I don't know why, but I thought it was going to be brown! ; )  I think the orange looks fantastic.  I also liked the way you handled that plexi-glass area.

LOVE IT...I love the orange and the pics and the tall eucalyptus over the toilet. Fabulous job as always,

Jackson, you really brought this to life.  Not only the orange but the accessories you chose really set this room up nicely.

Phew! I guessed right...ok, I had three options but my fav was the orange. I can't believe how hard it was to hold myself back from peeking because I love your work so much!

Drawing on the concrete with the grey in the art is great and repeating the green with the hand towels on the opposite wall...pure genius!

What a great little bathroom. I like the green too, but the plexiglass...love it! Brings sparkle to the white wall.

P.S. I've been thinking about calling you...I'm at a cross roads about purchasing furniture!

big difference.    nice bathroom that 'pops' after the right kind of staging for this type of modern property.

Did you stage any other areas of the house?  I would be interested to see the rest of the home based on the modernist feel of the bathroom.

03/25/2008 08:05 AM by Renee Adelmann (Marin Modern Real Estate )

Yep, I guessed right! I love it! Must admit though I've never seen any pictures of your work I didn't like. Like Renee, I would love to see before and after pictures of other areas of the house.

Hi Jackson....Orange and brown have been my favorite combo of late too!  I like this shade of green...though no necessarily inside a bathroom.  The bathroom itself was already nicely finished...and you added those last needed touches. Good work!  Regards-Kathleen G

Jackson- I was thrilled to see orange, which happens to be my accent color du jour!

I had dinner at an industrial style loft the other night, and the guest bath was ALL gray, concrete floors and walls, and they even used towels in two shades of gray. It was BORING!!!! AND, I felt like I was in a prison! I am working up the nerve to mention it to them! Ever have this situation?

What a difference.  When we first bought our home , we had a similar color in our downstairs bathroom. I just repainted.  That is why I am a mortgage girl not a stager. Great job.
