WHAT AM I SIGNING AND WHY?

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with people first...then business Ran Right Realty 636943 licensed to thrill

If it is to move a deal forward, I am in. Just tell me the downside, then the upside and exactly what it is I am committing to ahead of time. If not, then a couple of things will happen. One, I may have to stop and then study what I am signing and then go into Q & A or....

IGNORANCE BREEDS FEAR

I will need to consult with an attorney. I find that if people are comfortable with dialogue before signing that the core confidence of the deal is sound. Why wait until the last minute to review important documents? Becoming familiar with anything eases off the anxiety of it..the stress

START A FILE

Like anything new, discussion, gathering research and sorting out the data is relevant. The term...'start or open a file" on the target being considered is a common approach. Then, filling up that file with relevant facts and related information allows one to educate the self

FEAR LEAVES

Now, fear is gone and what to do and how to do it presents itself. Meeting of the minds, dialogue, conversation and exchange of information becomes the norm. Add a professional to the mix to smooth out the edges and keep the focus and another successful Real Estate transaction takes place. Exposure to the unknown makes it known

SIGN & INITIAL HERE AND HERE AND HERE

Long before that, we must have that comfort and peace in advance that allows one to enjoy the transaction instead of fretting over it. One should be familiar and comfortable and even eager when the documents are presented. WHY? Because we are familiar with it

SHOW TIME MEANS IT IS TIME FOR THE SHOW TO BEGIN

A good agent will talk with their clients and expose them to as many scenarios and issues that are linked to what is going to take place. Then, when "show time" presents itself, those documents get signed and forward movement is accomplished with little effort

Knowing what to sign and why well ahead of the time of it being needed is the way...its empowering

I agree, you must know what you are talking about to make clients or other agents feel confident in your skills.  If you are going into an area that is new to you, research before you sit down to do documents and educate  yourself as much as possible.  It will pay off!

I have had my new buyer's agents write several mock offers.  Next, they pretend I am the buyer and walk me through signing an offer.  Practice is good!
