Every year, thousands of homeless cats and dogs wander the streets of Austin looking for a home. Some are left behind when their owners move. Some leave home on their own and get lost. And some are cast off into the night by thoughtless owners who have no need for them anymore. Many of these animals eventually make their way to the Austin Animal Shelter. It costs money to give these creatures a warm place to sleep, food and necessary health care. The Austin Top Hat and Tails Fundraiser 2014 will help the shelter continue to provide these services to the Austin pet population for the upcoming year.

The Austin Top Hat and Tails Fundraiser 2014 is going to be a dog-gone good time. Get some love-a-bull kisses from the doggie kissing booth. Enjoy delicious food and spirits while watching live entertainment. Bid on a fantastic prize at the silent auction. Items up for bid include Texas Rangers baseball tickets, Longhorn opening day football tickets, art by local Austin artists, jewelry, a year's supply of Boardwalk Burgers, an annual membership to Austin B-Cycle (the bike share program that has taken the city by storm) and much, much more. Donations from local Austin businesses are constantly rolling in.

Proceeds from the Austin Top Hat and Tails Fundraiser 2014 will benefit the Austin Animal Shelter and its many programs. The Austin Animal Shelter is the largest no kill facility in the entire US, with more than 23,000 animals cared for per year. They accept pets of all ages and conditions, including those that are voluntarily surrendered to the shelter as well as strays.
