All of the wineries follow the tradition of winemaking established by the early French Huguenot settlers who brought their wine making expertise to the Hudson Valley over 300 years ago.  There are small to medium sized wineries and they produce white and reds that range from bone dy to dessert sweet. 

Scattered along the trail you can visit a thoroughbred horse farm, honey farm with performing bears, fruit and vegatable markets, horseback riding, canoeing, hang gliding, camping, county fairs, antiquing, old stone houses, swimming holes and so much more.
