Relocating with Pets to Camp Lejeune Marine Base

Veterinarians Hubert North Carolina You know and understand that relocations and moves are difficult and stressful for you and your family. But what about your pet(s)? Yes, it is very hard on them too and affects their behavior, appetite and mood.

MoversNet has an excellent article with tips and advice on moving with pets.

It addresses many things which you may not have thought of but will make the move less stressful for you and your pet(s).

When you relocate to Camp Lejeune Marine Base or New River Air Station, you will most likely rent or buy a home in Hubert, Swansboro, Jacksonville or Richlands North Carolina and settle into the Onslow County lifestyle.... a slower pace, more relaxed but active lifestyle. This new way of living may have a very positive effect on your and your pet's health! What a bonus.

Locating a veterinarian and animal hospital to take care of your pet's health needs is, of course, a priority. Veterinarians Jacksonville NC

Cynthia - Finding a good vet is a priority. Thanks for pointing out the importance of making the move a smooth one for our little friends.

Cynthia - It's way too true that the family pet gets overlooked when it comes to a big move.  Everyone focuses on the logistics, the new house, the new school .... but seldom how the family pet is going to adjust.  Thanks for pointing this out and reminding all of us that our pets are "people" too!

Cynthia, great post, so many times we don't think about a move stressing out our pets.  We need to make sure they're well taken care of to.  My little dog stresses around alot of new people, I can imagine now what movers would do to her. :-)

Hi Cynthia, That is such a good idea to let people know where the vets are in your area. I never even thought of doing that and I have two dogs.

Cynthia - You do such a great job with your relocation postings, I am sure you are the agent of choice in the area.

Yes even pets can get stressed out from a move, they are creatures of habit and changes can be disruptive.

Cynthia,

What an awesome post. Great idea. Great info. As a dog lover I realized we (all agents) should make moves pet-friendly.

Thanks,

Jim

Hi Tom,
It is so important to recognize their needs during a move and a good vet, well that's a given.  Thank you.

Hi Joan,
It is always a treat to have you stop by with you unique comments.

Bonnie & David,
I know what you mean, it would be very stressful and scary for the pet who does not understand what's happening.

Hello Megan,
I believe it is information pet owners' need and  appreciate, don't you?

Hi Jennifer,
I think people get so involved in a move that it is easy to forget how difficult it is for the pets.  Thank you.

Hello Gita,
We must take care of our animals, they depend on us and they are so loyal!
