My Journey Straight Up - Saturday Off To Perugia
We were greeted this morning with a heavy fog ..... the view from my window was replaced with dense white mist ..... first we could see the hill tops ..... then a few houses, then the village below us ..... all within an hour.
On warm days we like to sit outside to write. Today we wrote about the best moments we have experienced here ..... then we partnered up and read it, the partner then was to take the story from there and have some harm come to the writer, what fun ..... we laughed and laughed as we read the completed stories to the group ..... only four broken legs...

This afternoon a few of us headed out for adventure again ..... this time to Perugia, another ancient city, on another hill ..... we were dropped at the top and didn't climb any hills there ..... a nice change. This area is known for its shopping, I was delighted as we pulled up to see a market set up along the sides of the street, and in a park.
This city has a beautiful basilica, again fully decorated with frescos, plus many other churches. We saw a wedding ..... Just outside a church. Window shopping is always a delight ..... we browsed several high end stores ..... many with names we recognized, ending with the mandatory gelato at an outside cafe of course. Today's selection...hazelnut and mango ..... wonderful. Perugia is a great town for people watching, so we arrived early for our taxi, enjoying the views.

We arrived back to the welcoming scents of another delicious meal ..... Tender roast pork, a variety of veggies, fresh salad with olive oil and the best balsamic vinegar, plus dessert ..... could easily get used to this.
