The White Rock Home Tour features five contemporary homes this year. My personal favorite is the house overlooking White Rock Lake Park. Enormous white slab concrete steps separated by drought tolerant Sedum plants lead visitors to the 1,000 square foot deck and pool designed to take full advantage of the view. Modern-Shed created the modules for this pre-fabricated energy efficient house.

The White Rock Home Tour benefits Hexter Elementry School.

Today is the last day of the tour. Homes are open until 5:00 PM. Stop by the following locations to pick up tickets for $15. Tickets are also available at the homes for $20.

Wayne, two of the homes were tastefully renovated keeping the integrity of the original architecture. Three of the home were built within the last four years.

Sharon, I hope they raised lots of money for the elementary school. People like touring homes and are willing to pay money to do it.

Debbie, I was impressed by the number of people on tour, so I'm hoping they made a significant amount for the school.

Andrea, generally, I favor more traditional architectural styles. I was in awe of this shed house. It was well built, ideally situated on its lot and had an upscale contemporary finish-out. I loved the Modern-Shed website. Imagine those sheds on steroids and you have the house that was on the tour.
