Kentlands Day, Saturday, May 3rd

 

The annual Kentlands Day events are scheduled for this Saturday, May 3, 2014. This is the 25th anniversary of the Kentlands community and the Downtown area of Kentlands will be filled with residents and visitors. Organizers estimate that over 20,000 people will participate in the events of the day.

The Kentlands Day parade will begin at 10 a.m. and the main festival activities will take place between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. There will be a Taste of Kentlands food expo, a children’s carnival, live performances on several stages, a business fair and a classic car show.

For out of the area readers, Kentlands is a planned neo-traditional community located in the City of Gaithersburg in the heart of Montgomery County, Maryland. Kentlands is one of the preferred communities for families that are relocated to the Metro Area of Washington, DC.

 

 Photo: Be careful if you have to be out and about on this rainy day in Maryland. Do not attempt to drive through flooded areas.

Roy, today has been a miserable, rainy and cold day. Just blah! And then, I saw your beautiful photo of the poppy. Once upon a time I had a large garden and the poppies were my very favorite.
