The IRS will help you get your Economic Stimulus Rebate

The IRS is offering free tax help to those who do not normally file a tax return so they can receive an Economic Stimulus Rebate this spring. More than 300 IRS offices and hundreds of free tax preparation locations nationwide will open March 29, 2008. There are two Portland locations for this event: 1220 SW 3^rd Av., at the IRS Taxpayer Assistance Center Walk In Office, and the time is from 9AM to 3PM; and the other location is at 2201 Lloyd Center, #2010, and the time is 10AM to 4PM. It is good information but it doesn't make sense to me that someone that doesn't file taxes would get a stimulus refund; as they didn't pay in. I guess that is not a criteria to get the refund so again it is good information.

I'll do a search to see how folks can get help here in Wisconsin, Thanks for the idea!

There are some people who legitimately do not need to file taxes because of low income. These are people who welcome any help they can get. I don't mind giving these people a hand.
