Mortgage Market Report for Tuesday March 25, 2008

Bonds are getting a boost as consumer confidence falls to the lowest level in 5 years.    Home prices in 20 of major cities in the country were down a record 10.7% in the past year. 

Stocks are falling and this pressure is helping bond prices increase.  As you know as bond prices increase the interest rates decrease.

A gallon of regular gasoline hits $3.28 on average across the country.
