People have long envied the California lifestyle. Living in Ventura, we understand where all that envy comes from. The Friends of the Channel Coast State Parks wanted to celebrate everything we love about our great city and state. So, they put together the Ventura Beach Festival 2014 for this Saturday, May 3rd, making it the first event of its kind.

The Ventura Beach Festival 2014 will showcase everything we love here in Ventura: great live music, delicious food and tons of recreational activities set in the great outdoors. Rock out to such musical greats as Martha Davis and the Motels, beach bums The Safaris with original "Wipeout" guitarist Bob Berryhill, local Ventura reggae favorites Rey Fresco, South Oxnard-based Dirty Rice, eclectic wonder Spencer the Gardener and So Cal faves Barely Legal. Local Ventura food vendors will be serving up the tastiest morsels you've ever eaten. There will even be locally brewed beer from Ventura area breweries available for the 21+ crowd (must have a valid ID to purchase). Several fun family-friendly activities are scheduled so that Ventura residents and visitors of all ages can enjoy.
