It Must Be Spring Baseball Season Has Begun

It is official! The Major League Baseball season has started. Congrats to the World Champion Boston Red Sox who opened the season with a dramatic come from behind extra innings win in Japan. It is definitely Spring when baseball is here. Although it is a bit "unseasonal" to start the year in Japan. Regardless, the thing that matters is warm weather, baseball and beach time are here. Well, gotta wait a little longer for the beach here in Carolina, but all in all it is a great time of year.

If you're a sports fan not only has baseball begun, but another sign of spring is upon us: "The Big Dance", yes the Sweet 16 are dancing. Go TarHeels! Unfortunately UNC is the last ACC team standing, my prediction, they'll be the last team standing period. Besides the NCAA tourney, we're about two weeks away from golf's The Masters, yep it is spring time indeed.

So, dust off the shorts, flip-flops and Hawaiian shirts it is great weather time.

For those of you still shovelling snow, here are a few words, there are plenty of homes for sale in my warm community, come on down!

What are the indicators of spring for you? Is it your favorite time of the year?

Let's share our spring time stories.

thanks,

Jim

Hi Jim,  I couldn't help but notice your post and it looks like tonight we're both losers.  Your Bo-Sox LOST 5-1 to the A's (Despite Manny's solo homer) and my Detroit Tigers LOST 7-4 to the Pirates.  We'll get them back when the regular season starts :-)  Best, -Sash

To me this is one great time for a sports fan to be alive. The NCAA tournament. The beginning of baseball and the NFL draft coming up. I wish I liked hockey... because there's that too.
