When selecting a community there are so many things to consider; the educational system, religious heritage, health care, cultural and recreational governments and natural beauty.  The people of Central Virginia are very fortunate.

Convenient, stable, family-oriented, scenic, religious - these are all adjectives that come quickly to mind when asked to describe Central Virginia.

If you put your finger in the center of a Virginia state map you'll find the cities and counties of Central Virginia.  This excellent location benefits residents, travelers and industries.  We are close to the state capitol in Richmond, the nation's capitol in Washington and within 500 miles of almost every major city and port along the east coast.

The Lynchburg Regional Airport serves most of Central Virginia.  In addition, three railroads provide transportation to and from Lynchburg including AMTRAK.  Trailways and Greyhound bus-lines also have terminals here.

If you decide to live in Lynchburg you will be only minutes away from schools, parks and recreational areas.  You can drive to work in ten to twenty minutes from almost any place in the city.  Shopping is convenient, too.

To fully appreciate the lifestyle of Lynchburg you should drive through the residential areas.  You'll be impressed with the neighborhoods, whether one of the older sections along Rivermont Avenue, a new subdivision scattered throughout the edge of town or one of the grand old homes in the inner city.

You'll find a wide variety of housing available.  In addition to single family homes, their are commercial apartments in the area and many condominiums.  The counties have hundreds of acres of open land for people wanting a little extra space.

Church related activities are an integral part of the life of Central Virginia's citizens. There are more than a hundred churches representing over 35 denominations.

The diversified industrial base helps keep unemployment rates below the national average and encourages new industrial and commercial investments.  The city and neighboring counties are aggressive to attracting new development.  It is also a community of people who care about each other.

The climate also makes this area a pleasant place to live.  Though there are four distinct seasons, it is seldom extremely hot or extremely cold.  We receive about forty inches of rain annually and an occasional snow.  The mountains to the immediate west act as a barrier and shelter the area from high winds and extremely cold temperatures.

If you are thinking about relocating to the Lynchburg or Central Virginia area, I will be happy to send you a relocation packet to help you learn more about this beautiful area!
