Active Aging Expo, Monday, May 5th in Gaithersburg

 

Gaithersburg celebrates Older Americans Month with the 6th Annual Active Aging Expo, presented by Adventist HealthCare on Monday, May 5 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park. Admission is free and includes lunch. Canned good donations for Manna Food Center are appreciated.

Montgomery County is ranked in the top 5 of longest life expectancy in the U.S. Staying healthy, active and involved are the keys to successful aging. The 6th Annual Active Aging Expo is a day filled with energy, educational talks, interactive demonstrations, facials, massages, manicures, and preventive screenings. Fun activities include caricature drawings and air brush tattoos.

Roy what a coincidence that the aging seminar is happening on May 5th. It is my 56th birthday on the 5th. We went to the international house of pancakes a few months ago and their "senior" menu was for over 55. I sort of felt insulted even though I got a discount.

 

Anyway. Here is to getting older and seeing more flowers and reading  and enjoying life.
