When I first visited my property, the grand design, accentuated by its prominent location at the focal point of the bend in the road really caught my eye. Inside, I loved how spacious it was, but also felt warm and family-friendly. Utilities cost about $300/month for electricity, gas, and water.
One very nice benefit to this house is that it is less than 10 miles from the Augusta National Golf Course where the Master’s Golf tournament is held. As a result, I’ve been able to rent the house out during the Master’s Golf Tournament for $8,500. It has provided wonderful opportunities to use the additional income and time to take vacations and visit my children and grandchildren in other parts of the country.
North Augusta combines the best of two worlds. On one hand, North Augusta offers all the charm and warmth of a community town. I love the relaxing atmosphere and my friendly neighbors. One very nice part of North Augusta is the Greeneway, a long nature path that offers a scenic place to walk and bike. On the other hand, North Augusta is also just a few minutes’ drive to Augusta, GA with easy, convenient access to the wide array of benefits of a bustling, thriving city with businesses, entertainment, world class health care, restaurants, and shopping areas.
The Colony is a wonderful neighborhood of beautiful homes and families. There is a close sense of community, and neighbors are always ready to lend a helping hand. The neighborhood is nestled in a quiet part of town, but has direct access to the main road that runs through North Augusta, making it easy to get around.
How to choose the best place to eat? There are lots of choices depending on your mood. The BBQ Barn has some of the best BBQ you can get in driving distance. Just a few minutes away in Augusta is a wonderful French restaurant, La Maison, for a special night out or occasions. Some nearby grocery and convenience stores in North Augusta are Kroger, Publix, Bi-Lo, Food Lion, and Walmart. There are also many nice smaller shops and businesses.
