The Power Of REAL Mail

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty 0575737

Real MailWith the latest quarterly loss for the U.S. Postal Service, I am surprised people even TRY to check their mail daily at the home looking for SOMETHING significant there. But in business and between personal friends and even acquaintances do not discount

The Power Of REAL Mail.

Whether you use a sending card service regularly or try to develop an OCCASIONAL send out thank you note, a job well done, an announcement, a birthday card, or the onslaught of Christmas cards, getting something REAL from somebody nowadays stands out. Hand written scrawl, a personal sentiment, a newspaper or article clipping or a photo WOW, you are somebody special on the recipient end.

Will greeting card stores exist 10 years from now in the Internet age? I hope so. I love, well maybe not, getting all that glitter all over my hand.

REAL MAIL ---- try it. THEY WILL REMEMBER YOU and what you did!!

So true, Gary. I get excited when I see a card or letter in the post office box. It's thrilling. Lol. Good reminder of the impact we can have in our business when we send thank you notes, Birthday cards, etc. to our SOI.

Gary- my New Years Resolutions was to mail out Birthday Cards through snail mail- the response has been incredible- I am so busy now more than ever- it is the personal touch and people love it!!!  I have a calendar specifically for birthday that I will add people and keep as the birthday Bible- no need to keep transferring birthday to a new calendar...  you may want to try this!

Hearing that some people don't check their postal mail is funny - and a bit startling.

I know people who get mail at the post office rather than at home and they don't go retrieve it every day - but never? What about bills? Maybe in some parts of the country all bills could be received and paid via email, but that sure hasn't happened here.

On the other hand, I know people who only check their email accounts every few weeks.

Personalized hand written notes are the best, I promise, from several years of doing this.

With that said, you need to get the best stationary, have the funds for 1st class mail, and #1 set aside the time to accomplish this strategy. Good luck out there!

I still send hand written notes and thank you cards.

I also look forward to receiving snail mail myself.

Our direct mail postcard campaign is working better than ever because fewer people are doing direct mail today.

I am going through old paper work I have.  I have found letters my dad wrote years ago.  They are treasured.  Sadly I do not think we write like that anymore.

With the recent passing of my Mom I had never written or sent so much personal mail in my whole life! Every day it was 3 letters which in this day & age is a bunch.

Still farm snail mail & it works.

Snail mail works for special occasions and marketing but eventually it will become non existent.

Handwritten notes and letters with actual signatures are wonderful. I make it a point to sign in Blue ink to ensure the recipient knows it's not a stamp.

Gary - It is amazing to realize how real mail may be something much more meaningful, and now a lot of the junk mail comes through email.

Isn't that the truth, Gary? Every day I go to the mailbox full of anticipation--when I get the rare hand-written note, it's a treasure.
