The Power Of REAL Mail

So true, Gary. I get excited when I see a card or letter in the post office box. It's thrilling. Lol. Good reminder of the impact we can have in our business when we send thank you notes, Birthday cards, etc. to our SOI.

Never thought of it that way but by golly I think you have something!

Gary- my New Years Resolutions was to mail out Birthday Cards through snail mail- the response has been incredible- I am so busy now more than ever- it is the personal touch and people love it!!!  I have a calendar specifically for birthday that I will add people and keep as the birthday Bible- no need to keep transferring birthday to a new calendar...  you may want to try this!

Hearing that some people don't check their postal mail is funny - and a bit startling.

I know people who get mail at the post office rather than at home and they don't go retrieve it every day - but never? What about bills? Maybe in some parts of the country all bills could be received and paid via email, but that sure hasn't happened here.

On the other hand, I know people who only check their email accounts every few weeks.

Personalized hand written notes are the best, I promise, from several years of doing this.

With that said, you need to get the best stationary, have the funds for 1st class mail, and #1 set aside the time to accomplish this strategy. Good luck out there!

Our direct mail postcard campaign is working better than ever because fewer people are doing direct mail today.

I just used the 'real mail' this morning to mail out 600 postcards to my farm.

I am going through old paper work I have.  I have found letters my dad wrote years ago.  They are treasured.  Sadly I do not think we write like that anymore.

"REal Letters" have been the topic of SEVERAL webinars that I've been on lately!

With the recent passing of my Mom I had never written or sent so much personal mail in my whole life! Every day it was 3 letters which in this day & age is a bunch.

Still farm snail mail & it works.

Handwritten notes are definitely appreciated by all recipients.  They're definitely a novelty!

Snail mail works for special occasions and marketing but eventually it will become non existent.

Handwritten notes and letters with actual signatures are wonderful. I make it a point to sign in Blue ink to ensure the recipient knows it's not a stamp.

Gary - It is amazing to realize how real mail may be something much more meaningful, and now a lot of the junk mail comes through email.

Isn't that the truth, Gary? Every day I go to the mailbox full of anticipation--when I get the rare hand-written note, it's a treasure.
