 Sold Kauai REOS:

1. 3661 Ilima Place, Lawaii. 3 bedroom 2 bath home in the Lawai Hillside Subdivision. Reduced from $429,900 to $389,000. MLS#267151. This is a Fannie Mae REO. Sold for $389,900 CNV 4/28/2014.

2. 5394 Kumole St, Kapaa. Known as the “barn”. This 4 bedroom 2.5 bath home comes with warnings and waivers due to termite damage. Great views. Only $234,900 cash offers only. Owned by Flagstar Market Capital Corp. (Transferred from Fannie Mae). MLS#270756. Sold for $235,000 Cash 5/7/2014.

 The Kauai County Tax auction was held on May 7, 2014 at the county civic center. Only 7 properties ended up on the agenda.  Here are the results listed by tax map key :

1. (4) 2-8-25-65 Sold for $150,000.

2. (4) 3-2-23-58-7 Sold for $75,000.

3. (4) 3-5-1-85 Sold for $5,000.

4. (4) 3-6-8-5 sold for $13,000.

5. (4) 4- 3-8-1-139. This is Waipouli Beach Resort unit F401. There was a mortgage on this unit. But it must of gotten lost as they usually pay the taxes. Below is the video of the bidding for this unit between Gary Pierce Realtor & Jeff Crosby General manager of the resort. Jeff comes out the winner. Watch the video to see the final price.

6. (4) 4-3-11-1-11 Kulana 2A Sold for $60,000.

7. (4) 4-3-11-1-11 Kulana 2B Sold for $80,000.

Thanks Ron. It's interesting to see Kauai county auctioning off property when owners have stopped paying their property taxes.
