Is Now The Time To Buy/Sell In The Denver Metro Area?

It sometimes seems that the news outlets like to report nothing but cloudy skies and rough seas when it comes to the economy. But while a new report has noted that the number of mortgage applications being filled out across the nation are falling, the forecast seems to be a bit sunnier for Colorado.

Throughout the Denver Metro area, home sales continue to rise and the number of under contracts are steadily rising along with them. We're also seeing homes spending less time on the market, with an average of about 47 days. While late spring and summer are peak selling and buying times for real estate, it seems we're off to an early start this year (even our snowstorms can't slow us down!).

While the trends we are seeing are great for sellers, being a buyer in this environment can be a challenge. Inventory is tight, with many homes going under contract within just a few short days, which can be frustrating for buyers. However we are starting to see an uptick in the amount of new listings coming on the market, which is a good sign for buyers, so hang in there!
