What is Red Day? The initials stand for Renew, Energize and Donate. It is a day that over 100,000 agents from offices all over the world close their doors and open their hearts. We help garden, build, clean, prepare, nurture, raise money, and more. We come ready to get dirty and work hard. All day, Each office has 1-3 organizations that is their focus for that year.
Click on the RED DAY video to get a feel for what goes on around the world on this day.
A great deal of upfront planning goes into the day, both on the community organization side and the Keller Williams organizer.
At the end of the day, everyone is ready to celebrate. A great deal of works gets done and new friends are formed. It is a win win.
Enjoy this short video about our Red Day with Chaffee County Montessori.
Keller Williams Performance had two projects. In the Royal Gorge, 65 agents spent the day planting baby trees and grass where the fire took out the bridge and vegetation a year ago. In Salida, 2 agents, Micheal Ramsey and I knew we wanted to help the Montessori School and that we needed helped. Luckily, small business owners, parents and community members stood beside us with sleeves rolled up. I want to give a shout out to the following community volunteers, teachers and small business owners who helped.
Brett and Gwen Eakins, Owners, Central Colorado Title
Patrick Jackson, Orien Integration Services
David Andrews, Fairway Mortgage
Taylor Bradfield-Kreider, Tiger Home Inspections
Judy Ensley, Community Volunteer
Bri Meyers, Chaffee County Montessori Teacher and Liason to KW
Claudia Mann, director and woman who made sure it could happen
Tegan McDonnought, Teacher and Volunteer
Parents of Montessori School Children, Blake & Layna
Hylton Lumber donated materials
Poncha Lumber donated labor
Rick and Tracy Ormsby donated Materials
We are already looking for a partner in Salida for next year. Give us a shout if you know of an organziation that can use some help!
