Kaye Swain REALTOR uses her iPhone for Real estate clients plus cute pix of granddogs and grandkids and even the occasional selfieMy husband and I fell in love with computers together at his dad's house over a silly little game of 21. It was a Tandy/Radio Shack Model IV and it couldn't do much of anything other than that game and a very basic word processor. Which isn't too surprising since it had a whopping 4k memory!!!! A few years later, he got us going on a Macintosh. Six months after that, we had to get another so we each had one. And we just kept getting techier every year!

Now he's in heaven (teaching computer classes to angels? ), and I'm as techie as ever. Only now my computer of choice is smaller than any I've ever had and in many ways, it's much more powerful. As you may have guessed, I'm talking about my smart phone - my iPhone, to be exact.

I love it when I can take a photo with my iPhone, use my Snapseed app to edit it - including cropping it, straightening it if necessary, and even adjusting the colors. Then off to one of my Collage apps like Diptic to turn two or more pictures into one - like this one to show off some of the lovely spring flowers:

These flowers are beautiful as are the Roseville California blooms I love to see when out with real estate clients-Kaye Swain

I also love to use the ImageChef app to make cute-funny-informative pictures like this cute picture of my granddogs that my grandkids and I worked on to help announce our Keller Williams REDday 2014 project recently. ImageChef provided the "faux glasses" (stickers), the collage, and the heart with words - I LOVE those!

My granddogs and my grandkids had fun helping me with these Keller Williams REDday 2014 collages

The MocaDeco app is a great one to add my watermark and any other text I might want (like the KayeSwain.com on the flower picture above - right under the pink posy. (This is the only app on this post that doesn't seem to have an Android option but there are several apps at the Google Play store that let you "add text to photos" including Phonto which I have for the iPhone.)

These are great for a wide range of uses besides showing off grandkids and granddogs or announcing public service events. They are also a great help for a busy REALTOR®. I've made collages of shopping centers, as well as homes when I held open houses in them which I could then use for a flyer, a blog post about the home, or to add to just-listed or just-sold postcards, etc.

And that's not all! You can also use these for a wide variety of social media purposes. By saving each to the camera roll, then re-opening them in Snapseed, I can send these out directly to Google+ and/or send it to Instagram and from there it can go to Tumblr and Twitter and from Twitter to Facebook. Not to mention Pinterest, and any other social media site you like to use. And it makes it doubly easy for me if it is just one or two photos, to copy them direct from G+ into my computer to then use in a blog post here or at one of my other sites. Quick and easy - both of which are vital when we're staying busy at work!

I especially appreciate that I can make these during short moments like standing in line, waiting for my computer to finish a back up, sitting in the real estate office waiting for a meeting to start, or during a lull in an open house. Very helpful indeed for a busy real estate agent or broker, don't you think?
