Timberlake entrance

Timberlake was partially mapped in the 1940's as a small subdivision outside Raleigh, North Carolina.  It is blessed with lakes.  The subdivision was originally laid out to include an airstrip for the homeowners, which later was sacrificed for the construction of homes..Over the years it was enlarged and more phases and streets added, but the focus remains the beautiful lakes:

Timberlake Lake

Today, Timberlake is a mixture of 1950's homes and modern 1990's homes.  All homes share the beauty of the four private lakes, with many lakefront homes enjoying the year round waterfront paradise.

Homes in this desirable old subdivision seldom go on the market.  Ergo, it is difficult to offer sales information.  Advice?  If one is for sale, and you want it, DON'T HESITATE or it will be gone!

Amazingly, Timberlake has never been annexed into the City of Raleigh, NC, but remains in Wake County.  The subdivision is in a perfect location just east of town, off the I-440 Beltline.  Convenience to all City venues is extraordinary.

And the living is EASY!

Leigh,

$180,000 and up.  Only three homes active.  I had clients lose out on a lakefront home last year, and it still is pending, LP $214,000.  Unfortunately, there is ongoing UST soil remediation.

One on the entrance road, built in 1963, is active at $189,900, and a newer foreclosure at $229,900.

man, that sounds like a great deal to be in unincorporated Wake County!  What's the scoop with the soil remediation?  A leaky oil tank?

That's right, Leigh.

The entire house is over the plume, and multiple monitoring wells are in place.

They have removed nearly 100 tons of soil and pumped the wells as dry as they can, and haven't closed yet.

It is a great deal, within 1/4-1/2 mile of I-440.

Tracie,

Timberlake is next to Skycrest, but is a separate subdivision.  The nice thing about Timberlake is that it is not a through street like Skycrest is, so Timberlake has much less traffic.
