Twitter...tweets...re-tweets...twits...twitter-ific...

What the heck does it all mean?

In a way, Twitter is micro-blogging. It's an extension of your online community... We use it to communicate with our fellow Twits (a.k.a. friends) like you would through instant messenger, we use it to update people (a 160 character news feed), and we use it to promote our blogs!

How do you do all that? Why should I use twitter? How could it help me promote my blog?

Chris Brogan wrote an excellent guest blog over at ProBlogger.com titled *drum-roll please*  "How I Use Twitter to Promote My Blog"

Give it a read! Then read it again once more and start tweeting (a.k.a. posting updates/messages) and start promoting!

Good info. I think your tip to read again and again is a good idea. One step at a time.

Good to see you are there, more and more people are joining and we are having a fun time. On the business side because I use twitfeed and others do my blog posts from AR and outside come up. I have been lead to some really good stuff over there, like Teresa's, Bob's,  Chris's photo blogs.

Wendy: glad you joined...feel your way around then see if it's a fit for you :)

Missy: isn't it amazing what we can do on-line? Things are displayed so eloquently! The last referral I received did some digging on-line...I'm guessing she google'd "Ricardo Bueno" and she found Active Rain, My Blog(s) (Active Rain & The Industry Report) and my websites spewed all over the net.

Needless to say she was impressed. She came to me saying "I hate brokers" and just before she left she said "where do I sign."

it's all transparency and making people feel confident!

Good information.  I ues, and like, Twitter but it's no match for AR.  I get a lot of leads here.

Ricardo I have had a twitter account for a while but must admit I have not used it at all. I have a number of people following me and vice versa. I need to take a few minutes and figure it all out.

Hi Bill,

Read the article I posted above. If that helps and fits within your marketing model...go for it!

Hi Gary,

I have to agree with you there!

Interesting...sounds like twitter is sort of a chat room for friends only.  I have to wonder at what point we will all have "too much" going on and these things will be harder to maintain.

Tony: it is too much already! I agree, it's all about balance with these things.

Todd: Thanks for reading! And thanks for the follow up on Twitter.
