Well, it's snowing again in North Conway, NH. I don't mean that little, light stuff we occassionally get in the spring...I woke up to a good inch on my deck and it is coming down fast and furious out there--BIG flakes even... it looks like mid-January...sigh....

I am sorry folks but I have had enough. 132 inches to date and snowbanks 6-10 feet tall (that will likely last through July!) when it is supposed to be SPRING out there...I love my White Mountains but since we have been "swimming in White" since November it is now a bit old.

Okay, that is it--not much of a blog post today--the snow has taken all the creativity and article ideas out of me.

I think I will surf on over to the Florida or Arizona side of AR and bask in your sunny blog presence.

17 Comments on Endless Winter....sigh...

Uggh!  No thanks!  I spoke with some folks from Wisconsin on Monday and they were visiting our fair city.  They said they LOVE Wisconsin...hate the winter there.

I would never WANT to live somewhere that the winters are so harsh!  Those places come with trade offs (for instance, down here near Houston, we have no idea what a beautiful FALL looks like because we bascially have Winter (for about 2 months) and SUMMER!  Not a lot in between it seems!

Uncle!!, It's time to put away the skis and get out the golf clubs ISN'T IT? (I feel your pain)

Wondering how you ever show houses there in the winter. Hope they keep the roads plowed. Here today cool for us, highs mid 70's, nighttime temps low 50's. Really just perfect in my mind. Have a good day and if the cold gets to you come on down for a visit.

Come on down to the North Georgia Mountains. You get snow one day and seventies 2 days later. That's what I call winter in acceptable doses. (Florida is nice too I agree)

Thankfully we just got rain down here. But everywhere I look there is old ugly looking snow on the ground. I want it to melt away!

We have a lot of great properties available for you here in Myrtle Beach--not a sign of snow in site--come on down

Well you are correct. We don't have any snow here in Florida. It's a cool day by our standards, but promising to be very nice. That is an incredible picture of snow.

Here in Arkansas it will snow one day and the next it will be in the 70's.  We always say, "If you don't like the weather here one day, stick around, it will change."

UNCLE! is right!

I won't see my lawn until June at this rate!

I just got a dusting where I am but I still have 3 feet over the entire yard! I can't take it anymore! Just 30 minutes south and there is nothing! sigh....

Stephanie:  Yeah, I'm in Exeter and my yard is green (well, kinda).  It's nice & sunny here today too.  Hard to believe how different it can be over such a short distance.  We have a place up in the Northeast Kingdom of VT and have no idea when we'll be able to open.... the place must be absolutely buried!

BTW.... when we bought our place up in VT, the REALTOR showed up with snow mobiles so that he could get us to the places to show them.  Pretty cool!

Katherine: I couldn't believe the difference between Portsmouth/Seacoast and our area when I recently was down there. Thank heavens there is some place to go to escape the snow in our own state!

Carla: I was actually thinking of a new AR contest to offer-WHEN WILL I SEE MY GRASS? I seriosuly bet it will be into June before all the snow is gone.

Stephanie: Yep...and Dover probably has 1/2 of what we have! Last year I don't remember nearly such a difference between Dover/Rochester and North Conway.

Steve in Florida: Many neighbors/friends of mine are there in sunny FLA right now. Florida Rocks...I have to get back.

Debra: Myrtle Beach sounds great!  Find me a nice fixer upper and give me an excuse to be SNOWBIRD.

Hey Monika: At least the rain is helping get rid of some of the snow though...I am heading down your way ( well kinda) tomorrow for a Coldwell Banker Awards Ceremony in Manchester...looking forward to seeing the snow in my rear view window!

More snow coming tonight! 2 to5  inches down here! Enjoy the Awards Ceremony.

I was all cocky the other day saying that my yard was green!  It's white again!  Guess karma got me!

03/28/2008 08:47 AM by Katherine Anderson, Managing Broker (Coldwell Banker Hobin Realty, LLC - Hampton & Rye, NH, USA)

Katherine: It is once again SNOWING UP HERE. About four inches. I was in Concord/Manchester yesterday and it was beautiful and sunny with nearly no snow. I think I even saw.....>gasp< GRASS.

Kim: DITTO!

Monika: Yep, and they were right...we hit four inches and it is still coming down. Just shoot me.

BTW, we had a great time at the awards ceremony--if we were able to get out early I was actually thinking of calling you and Jay and see if you were at the office so we could drop by and say HI. But, alas we ended kinda late and still had the two drive back home.Maybe another time!
