Mukilteo is a waterfront community situated on Puget Sound in southern Snohomish County, about 25 miles north of Seattle.  This scenic area has views of the Olhttp://activerain.com/action/blogs_admin/writeympic Mountains to the west and the Northern Cascade Mountains to the north and east. The first settlement in the County was established on the northern point of Mukilteo in 1858.  Pioneers to Mukilteo developed a trading post, lumber mill, cannery and a port of entry for the trading ships.

The Harbour Pointe is a mixed-use neighborhood at the south end of Mukilteo on land originally owned by Port Gamble Lumber Co. Harbour Pointe is the location of the famous Kamiak High School and Harbour Pointe Middle School. The neighborhood became a family-oriented development anchored by Harbour Pointe Golf Club, opened in September, 1989. Nowadays, this neighborhood offers housing and convenience right out the doorstep. Residents enjoy superb golfing at Harbour Pointe Golf Club, nearby shopping at Alderwood Mall, top-rated schools, and extensive on-site amenities. Residents are also just minutes away from downtown Mukilteo, restaurants, boutiques, the historic lighthouse and waterfront. The neighborhood limits with Harbour Pointe Boulevard on the north, Beverly Park Road / Mukilteo Speedway on the east, Picnic Point Road on the south and the Puget Sound shoreline on the west.
