Fun Activities in St. George UT this May
At this time of year, St. George Utah has a lot of activities for residents and visitors to enjoy. You can enjoy golf at one or more of 13 golf courses, or hike in beautiful Snow Canyon State Park, Zion National Park or other recreational areas. You can enjoy biking, camping, fishing, boating, hunting, horseback riding and much more. St. George also boasts several cultural activities during the spring and summer months. Check out Tuacahn, OC Tanner Amphitheater, or St. George Live for cultural and music festivals. No matter what you do, it will be an event to remember as long as it’s in St. George UT.
St. George Activities in May:
Archaeological Field Day – Enjoy a whole day in the field with a Zion archaeologist. You will get a feel for how things function and discover what an interesting profession it is. They ask for you to bring your own lunch as lots of water. Of course there will be a hike and you may get dirty so dress accordingly. There will be site surveying, cataloging and other archaeological activities. There is a two person limit for each activity.

Midnight 5K – This fun activity will allow you to experience an amazing night run on a stunning course. This is a must do event that you don’t want to miss. There will be rocking tunes, glowing giveaways and awards. You can register until Wednesday, May 21st. Day of race registration will increase in price and you won’t get a t-shirt.

The Ferns of Zion – At this time of year the ferns are a beautiful sight to see in Zion National Parks floral areas. They are a diverse and ecologically interesting part of Zion National Park. While you may have seen the Southern Maidenhair Fern on several occasions, you may not have seen others that are tucked away where most casual tourists don’t visit. Now, you can join botanist Steve McKee and explore the east side of Zion’s twenty-five other ferns. This activity is limited to 10 participants ages 15 years and older.
