Fearrington Events and Activities -
The Fearrington Farmer's Market comes to life! Come and get your fresh flowers, organic fruits and vegetables, homemade meals and more, every Tuesday until 4 pm.
McIntyre's Open Mic Night - poetry, short story and chapter readings. Call Pete at 919-542-3030 to sign up. Thursday April 3 7pm-9pm.
Cookbook Author Event - Lynne Rossetto Kasper, host of "The Splendid Table", discusses her newest cookbook at McIntyre's. Call 919-542-3030 to preregister. Thursday April 10 3pm-5pm.
A Classical Garden Party - wine, hors d'oeuvres, and music program which includes a full orchestra, a Brahms trio, and a string orchestra. Musicians include the NC Symphony, UNC Orchestra, and NCSA. Advance tickets ($30) are required, call 919-542-2121. Sunday April 13 1:30 pm.
First Sunday - Arts and Crafts in Pittsboro
The first Sunday of every month, local artisans and businesses fill the sidewalks around the Pittsboro courthouse. Take a walk and look at jewerly, clothing, woodworking, and much more. Grab a snack, or lunch at one of downtown Pittsboro's famous eateries. The Haw River String Band will perform at the circle from 1-3pm. Sunday April 6th noon - 4 pm.
Jordan Lake State Recreation Area
There's so much more than just a lake, and what a lake it is!
Astronomy Viewing Session - UNC's Morehead Planetarium is sending astronomers to answer questions and share telescopes. Check at http://www.moreheadplanetarium.org/ before coming, clear skies are required. Join the group at Ebenezer Beach on Sat April 12th from 6-8:30pm. Jordan Lake State Recreation Area
C.A.S.T. (Catch a Sure Thing!) - this fishing program is for beginners aged 6-12. Preregistration required at 919-362-0586, all equipment is provided! Meet the ranger at the Park Office. Sat April 12th 10-11am.
National Walk on the Wild Side - Take a guided "off-trail" nature hike and discover the wild side of Poplar Point, starting at the Poplar Point ticket booth. For more information or to register, email robin.kalish@ncmail.net. Sat April 12th 1 pm.

Carolina Brewery and Grill
The Carolina Brewery and Grill offers free brewery tours and tastings the second Saturday of each month, at noon and 1 pm. You'll definitely want to stay for lunch and a another brew, and maybe come back to watch a UNC game - you'll have plenty of company. Saturday April 12th noon and 1 pm.

Horizon Cellars Winery in Siler City
Wine Tastings - Stop by and taste local Chatham County wines at Horizon Cellars Winery in Siler City. Only $4, includes souvenir glass. Ask about custom made labels for wine for your next special event. Mon, Thurs and Fri 11 am - 5pm, Sat 10am-6pm, and Sunday Noon-6 pm. Tours by request.
Meet the Artist Reception - come and meet Sandy Scott, a local painter. Enjoy a reception at the winery and taste local wines while viewing original artwork. Sat April 12th 5-7pm.
