Social Media has created a new era in this world. From MySpace to Facebook to Twitter to Instagram to Snapchat we have seen many websites devoted to social media! It astonishes me on how well social media has expanded. There are many reasons and ways realtors can take these trends of social media to help us in the Real Estate Market!
- ADVERTISE. ADVERTISE. ADVERTISE. Instagram is an amazing tool for Realtors with listings. Take an average photo from your listing and create a whole new look to it with all the different filters! And don't be afraid to use that contrast button! If your photo is too large and you have to crop the photo of the house, find an app that will let you put a border around the original photo and you don't have to crop the photo! The great thing about Instagram is that it's connected to all your other accounts as well! Share that post to Facebook and Twitter! Allowing you to show the all your Social Media followers your posts!
- Now... let's be honest here, MySpace is out. It's been out. For awhile. And after all those horrible events that took place because of MySpace [I won't go into detail, but we all know what I'm talking about] nobody really wants to use MySpace. Although it is Social Media, let's try not to use that!
- ALL I CAN SAY... FACEBOOK IS AMAZING! Facebook for us Realtors is amazing! It lets our peers and family see whats going on, without being obnoxious about it. Now don't get me wrong, there are ways to be obnoxious about it, but we try not to do that. Experts say that you should have 5 personal posts to 1 professional post. And I agree completely, you always need to active with your personal posts on there, so that it doesn't look like you're just trying to talk about Real Estate on Facebook.
- LinkedIn is another great tool for Real Estate. It allows you to "connect" with other individuals in a professional field. You can connect with Lendors, other agents from other companies, and so many more people! Definitely another tool real estate agents need to utilize.
- Although Snapchat is considered Social Media, it's not something you can really use for a professional outlook. But it's great to keep in touch with old clients, or other individuals in your field.
- TWEET AS MUCH AS YOU CAN! Twitter is made for posting every hour! It shows you keep yourself in the loop, and you have the time to check into your account!
Now... I know what you're thinking. I don't have time for all this. Then find someone that does! Get an assistant, get a student that knows about all this and can expand your market greatly!
Just a suggestion from Joy!
Have a great day!
