Real Estate Brokers Can Belong to Either IRES or Metrolist for MLS access so is it IRES vs. Metrolist For MLS Membership Money?
BrokerIPTV : Today we are talking
with Mark Footer from Intero Real Estate Services and the member of the board
for MetroList, Mark thanks for being with us.
Mark Footer: Thanks Dan, pleasure
to be here.
BrokerIPTV : Glad you are here, I
want to talk about the data sharing agreement that MetroList announced not
so long ago if one of it if he give an update on how that's going?
Mark Footer: It is going beautifully,
as a matter of fact on February 1st this year we have gone fully
live with it on the Prime Access product of MetroList, right now you can, you can
search all of the IRES and MetroList listings using Prime Access.
BrokerIPTV : Well I am glad that
you brought that up, because a realtor in my office says you can always think
it about joining IRES and I said well I don't, I don't think you need to join
Iris as long as you are member of MetroList, you are going to be able to get
all of the IRES listings.
Mark Footer: I have had the same
conversation countless times with the brokers in my office and once people are aware
of it and started using it, they embrace it and love it, it is all there, it is great
for doing and the searches for listening, it is great for doing researches for
buyers, it's been a huge help in our office.
BrokerIPTV : Talk about the decision
process to go in this direction in due data sharing in the first place?
Mark Footer: Yeah it is
interesting, it actually started in 2003 or the CCM or Colorado Cooperate MLS came together and it was between Pikes Peak, IRES and MetroList, a limited amount
of fields, the users like it so much, they really said hey, let's say how, let's
have all the fields, let's just get it
all in there, and that's were it precipitated what we have today.
BrokerIPTV : So, as a realtor, I
only really need to choose one system?
Mark Footer: Correct.
BrokerIPTV : Depending on what I
like?
Mark Footer: Depending on what
you like.
BrokerIPTV : Yeah, I like Prime Access. Advantage to Front Range realtors?
Mark Footer: The advantage is, again
two fold, I eluded to it before if you are preparing a listing presentation or
you doing a CMA, all the sold information is there. Especially if you on a border
area, or you overlap from one MLS to the other, you will have to pull up
with confidence all information from both sides. If you are working with the buyer
and you going to be showing in an area you don't want have to search to MLSs, you
will be elder go through Prime Access and all the information we will cover 100% once
available for your consumers.
BrokerIPTV : Let's say you are a realtor
and you are on the border, and you are trying to figure out if you are going to
join IRES, you are going to join MetroList, why choose MetroList?
Mark Footer: MetroList has fantastic
products, one of the opportunities I had, is that I was on the MetroList rules
and regulations committee few years back, I know how much attach the MetroList based
to the detail and accuracy of the data, so knowing that we have quality data
and that we have fantastic tool to deliver and to present CMAs and to present
marketing pieces, it's a slame dunk for me.
BrokerIPTV : What's next for MetroList?
Mark Footer: Continuing to put
out good technology and good products.
BrokerIPTV : Simple enough Mark
thanks so much we appreciate talking with you.
Mark Footer: Dan, pleasure of
mine.
