Just some food for thought.  Republican John McCain on Tuesday said that the government would not be rewarding banks or small borrowers who had practiced bad mortgage lending, though he offered few alternatives to fixing the growing housing crisis.

Mr. McCain has said to consider any and all proposals based on their cost and benefits to the market.  Many Democrats have accused McCain of lacking the necessary skills needed to obtain and lead a country on the brink of recession.

Instead of offering a concrete plan to address the crisis at all necessary levels, McCain promised to take the same hands-off approach that President Bush used to lead us into this crisis.  This could create even worse positions in the market and economy.

The housing turmoil has rocked Wall Street and is dominating the presidential race as the nation faces an economic downturn and the Federal Reserve has taken steps to intervene.

I think a new revolution would be in order to replace the system we now have with an administration that exercises common sense and not catering to oil companies.  Unfortunately the average person has got themselves into so much debt that they don't even have time to raise their children properly, let alone spur a much needed reform in our country which is run on accountability and most of all responsibility.  It is a sad state of affairs and these candidtates aren't helping.

Nicole, Thank you very much for your comment.  You are very very right.  Common Sense is no longer part of the act of running for president.  Thanks for you thoughts!

Its going to be hard pulling the lever this fall. Its like lighting a stick of dynamite with a match VS. flint and steel. All 3 possible canadaites are going to take us down the same road, the only difference is who is going to do it faster.
