Winners of Super Energy Efficient Connecticut Homes Challenge.
Five winners of the 4th Annual Connecticut Zero Energy Challenge have been announced. This is a statewide design and build competition to construct a high efficiency home that consumes little or no energy with cash prizes. This year’s competition featured 11 homes that were built between June 1st 2012 to December 1, 2013.
This year there were two Overall Winners with each getting a total cash prize of $10,000:

For Lowest Home Energy Rating Score without Renewable Technology the Trolle Residence in Danbury built by BPC Green Builders won $5,000.
For Lowest Home Energy Rating Score Index and Lowest Annual Operating Cost the Renaissance Farms in Warren won $5,000 designed and built by CK Architects Builder: J&P Building and Remodeling llc.
The Most Affordable Project is the Singer Estate in Derby, a home built on lot 5 by Brookside Development with prize money of $5,000.
