Debbie Reynolds in her contest this month "What Sets You Apart: Your Value Added Benefit? An ActiveRain Contest", challenges each of us to spend time evaluating what we do which makes us different from our competition. It will be interesting to read the entries in Debbie's contest, especially since I believe most people see themselves through glasses which present a rosier picture than others may see them. I am no different, but I do feel uncomfortable in singing my own praises. So I hope to show through what my Borrowers and Realtor Partners have said about me in the past that I Have Created Raving Fans, instead of presenting my own opinion about myself.
I expect the majority of the entries in Debbie's contest to be about providing outstanding service, after all we are in a service related industry. It is the level of service we provide which sets us apart, and creates the "Raving Fans" we all strive to have.
My business has grown, because in my opinion I have achieved the goal of creating "Raving Fans". But I will let you decide whether I have or not through some of the comments, cards, and e-mails I have received from my Borrowers and Realtor Partners, such as:
- Hello George, I have been wanting to send you a quick note to let you know that I think of you often …. your diligence and determination to help me get my home for my family and me. Most importantly, I think of your kindness... Thank you for everything. May God continue to bless you.
- I just wanted to say thank you again. The refinance went incredibly smooth, not a single glitch! I received the check from the lawyer yesterday and I will be on the way to being free from credit card debt. I will be sure to send anyone I know your way if they need any home financing expertise.
- Thanks George – you certainly make it easy! I have to tell you at this point that my experience with you has been the very best experience ever (and I’ve bought and sold 4 homes)! I will recommend you highly to everyone I talk with who’s thinking of buying a home and looking for a mortgage.
- George, thanks so much for making it possible, you didn't give up on me. People ask me "how in the world you own a home." I can't believe it myself. My kids are so happy. I owe it to you. God bless you and your family. Forever grateful.
- Andrea Swiedler, Realtor. (ActiveRain Member) I found George through Activerain, sent my clients to him, and we closed the deal today. As we were all at the closing table my clients turned to me with that first time home buyers star dust in their eyes look and said that George was "totally awesome"! George, if I didn't say enough about you the other day in the first post, I want to say it now. Thank you, you really rock! And our clients think so too.
I could go further with several more responses like the ones above I have received from my Borrowers and Realtor Partners, but I think the five above make my point.
I believe I Have Created Raving Fans of my Borrowers, and even some of my Realtor Partners which this not only set me apart form my competition, but in everything I do in life as well.
