The Arizona Association of Realtors has launched a petition drive to collect enough signatures to place a constitutional amendment on the November 4, 2008 ballot.  The No New Tax On Our Homes initiative will prohibit the double taxation of your home, land, or commercial real estate in Arizona by banning a real estate transfer tax through a constitutional amendment, once and for all preventing the government from trying to pass bills to steal your home equity.  In other states when Real Estate Transfer Taxes have passed, they have never been repealed and the amount of the tax continues to climb.  Help let the government know that we do not want double taxation on our homes in Arizona!

great job fighting the unfair realty transfer tax.  why do the homeowners have to pay taxes on a home sale when they've been paying taxes since they bought the house?  Definitely unfair

In Florida our transfer tax is massive.  We pay 70 cents for every $100.  Luckily they have not raised this amount since 1992.
