This post is not going to be about staging a house or showing pictures of the rooms. This is about Stagers and their creative skills.

As many of you know we do have other talents that sometimes do not get shared enough. So many of us are just labeled Stagers, but our ability to design goes much further then just making homes look great.

I've met Stagers that are artists; they can take a piece of canvas and with a brush and paint create a stunning piece of artwork. Some can sew beautiful pillows, table cloths and window treatments. Others can get behind a camera and take photos that are as good as, or better than a professional's. The talent of many stagers is limitless.

My second passion is floral designing. I was asked by designer Bruce Ferda, owner of Bruce's Floral Design in Carlstadt, NJ, to create wedding bouquets for a Bridal Expo Fashion Show this past week. Part of the proceeds went to charity.

I have 25 years experience in this field, but since I am running my own Staging Company now I have been out of this field for some time. It was such an honor to be asked to be a part of this event. I would like to share my special night and my floral creations with all of you.

If you have special talents, please share them with the rest of us.

I always try to use my talents to help others.

Thank you for checking out one of mine, and I hope I will

see some of yours too.

You do beautiful work and it looks so satisfying.  And useful in staging too as florals are always my challenge.

Wow, those are gorgeous!  You should be proud of that talent.  I consider myself pretty creative all around, which definitely has helped me both artistically and being resourceful in organizing and staging.

Thanks for sharing!

Barbara, what lovely arrangements!  And what a wonderful talent you have that I am sure benefits your staging clients!

Wow!  Great work.  I wish I had your talent.  I'm very "floral arrangement" challenged - not my strength for sure.  However, as you mention we are all talented, creative individuals in different ways - mine is fabrics.  I'm a master with using fabrics in my homes and although I'm not a great seamstress, I know enough to make my own pillows, window coverings, table covers so that it all matches.

Here is a sample of one of my vignettes with all the fabrics that I bought and sewed together.  In fact, the swag is being held up with upholstery tacks which look great and beat having to put up the hardware.  Thanks for sharing.  I'd love to see other talents.

Emma,

What an absolutely beautiful combination of fabrics, and

what a great idea with the upholstery tacks. You have a wonderful eye for

color and you certainly have talent. Thank you for the photo

and for sharing it with the rest of us.

Thanks Barbara! You are right, there're are a lot of creative people in our business and I think some of them take their talents for granted. By the way - I don't call myself a "fabric master", but its a title that my peers have given me - so I finally realized that maybe I do have a special talent. We should celebrate the things we do well and work on the things that we wish we could be better at. Someday, I'm going to master floral arrangement - but for now, I'll just stick with the "oh so effective and easy" way. I buy them already done for me. Emma

How gorgeous, Barbara! I'm having a hard time picking out my favorite! I love to be creative, and my family feels cheated if I buy their gifts in a store. Here is something I made for my daughter-in-law:

Elaine,

Did you paint that? This is beautiful.

I don't blame your family for only wanting gifts that you

have created. You can tell that if comes from your heart with

lots of love.

The frame is also very beautiful.

Thank you you for sharing with the rest of us.

My goodness.  So much talent.  It has been years since I painted with acrylics and lately I have spent 24/7 trying to carve out...sometimes with a chisel my little piece of the pie...but here is something I did when I had the luxury of time on my hands...it is the only one I ever saved...the rest were gifts to family and friends...OH...and the strangest thing...I absolutely can only paint fruit, bottles, cheese and wine glasses....what do you think that means????

Barbara: Your floral creations are beautiful!! I have always wanted to be able to arrange flowers. That must really be useful when your staging a home, to know how to make an arrangement in a vase really stand out! I have found that there are many talented people on AR. I like to check out the craft group, I find many creative and interesting ideas there. I love to paint~ that is my passion. I thought I would share something I did as well. Renee: I don't find it funny that you can only paint fruit and wine....my art instructor says paint something you are passionate about, I guess your passionate about fruit and wine.. :) Elaine: I love it, is that a watercolor?

Wow, Renee and Kathy! How beautiful! I guess we do see staging as just another avenue to use our creativity! Yes, my painting is a watercolor. And, being the complete control freak that I am, it was done from a photo I took! ;)

Renee- I got a real chuckle out of your comment that this is ALL you can paint!!!

Thank you, Barbara, for allowing us to share (show off)!

Well Elaine you are not only excellent with water colors but,

you are probably very good at taking pictures as well.

Renee and Kathy "beautiful" I always wanted to paint but could

never find the time to really get good at it. And Renee If there is wine in those bottles

that are in your paintings well, You are painting the perfect subjects wine, cheese and fruit

it does not get any better then that.

Thanks for sharing your talents with the rest of us.
