Active Rain Photo Blogger is an ActiveRain group that provides a great place for our amateur photographers to share their photos with a brief story of what the photo portends as well as a story of how it came about.
The photo above is one of my favorites taken on the San Diego Bay during our annual Tall Ship Parade that takes place in September each year.
This past year, San Diego showed off our brand new tall ship, the replica of the San Salvador that was build by hand over the last 5 years using the same techniques that the shipbuilders of old used to construct the ships long ago. That ship is now complete with all of the interior fittings and it's tall mast sections added that was not complete on it's maiden appearance at the Parade and Tall Ship Festival. I will be bringing you those photos this September 2016.
Are there benefits to showings local and area event photos useful? I think yes. One of the things I love about real estate is that it is not just about listing and selling. It is about relationships. Those relationships are the very foundation of my business and I think if it were not for those incredible relationships, I would be in the wrong industry.
So why do I bring that up while talking about photography? Because it is so interrelated. Photos of your area, the events, the concerts, the town gatherings for whatever reason, shares real life in what you have captured and when you share it, others can connect. Being the author of the photo story puts you into the center of your clients and future clients lives. There can be nothing better. When I am talking with clients and past clients ( new friendships), I still share all these events and when new events or things of interest are upcoming, a simple e-mail, text or phone call to them to remind them, keeps your relationship alive and well.
Try it, if my experience is any example, your relationships will grow ever stronger and your pride in your community shows so brightly and says so much about what you do for a living. Your real estate career can thrive and your past client list will continue to grow. If you are like me, your past clients are your future.
