FSBO - "For Sale By Owner" Why consult a Professional? 


     I recently got a call from a FSBO who was moving out of the area, during the call the "sellers" never told me it they had been listed as a FSBO. Upon meeting the clients I had prepared a Market Analysis of their home  like I would with any listing. We met discussed the reason for selling and moving and I explained my Marketing Program and moved forward with the listing. Once I shared my listing price the clients told me they had been on the market as a FSBO for three weeks with no activity! My listing price was $10,000 more than what they had listed the home for as a FSBO, the sellers ask how will you get that price? When you consult with a real estate professional we know the market trends for the area and recent statistics for the neighborhood. Its our job as a listing agent to get our "sellers" top dollar! We priced the home for the market, in four days we had three offers and sold the home for $15,000 above the original asking price of the sellers!
