Below was taken from the Hamden Patch on line news source on June 10, 2014. CT is always first or second in the country in per capita income then why do half the people say they would leave given the chance and why is it ranked 45th worst state to live? Because it a false realty as is the stock market where the intervention of grotesque amounts of government money to float an appearance of prosperity is a joke and results in an anemic economy at best is sad. The only ones prospering form obama's economy are the rich and the poor. True unemployment is no better than it has been since 08. I believe that the amateur in office is getting exactly what he wants - it is ot like he didn't tell his intentions throughout his two campaigns, I for one am not surprised at the results.

"Rarely do Connecticut residents catch themselves saying, “At least we don’t live in Hawaii,” but that might be the case after perusing Money-Rates.com’s list of the Best and Worst States to Make a Living 2014.

Connecticut was ranked the fifth-worst state to make a living, with Rhode Island, Mississippi, New York and Hawaii the only states scoring worse.

The rankings were based a metric that weighed average salary, cost of living, employment rate and workplace conditions.

Connecticut fell nine places since last year’s list, Money-Rates reported, because of high costs of living, high unemployment and poor workplace conditions."

The goal of Marxism is to destroy the Middle Class and create a fiefdom or serfdom.  Rich masters, poor peasants.

The Northeastern States, the Left Coast, and of course Washington D.C., are rapidly propelling America toward that goal.

Taxes, fees, assessments, whatever all are hard on the middle class. Everything the feds do is supposed to help the middle class, but it simply drives the middle class into poverty.

The problem I have with this type of list is that it seems to be purely monetarily driven. But I tend to agree with your "the only ones prospering from Obama's economy are the rich and poor." Except the poor aren't 'prospering' either. BTW, this has been true since 1980; it is NOT a recent phenomena.
