If I was Queen Bee of this Hive...
By and large we are numbers people in this biz. We deal with square footage, amortization schedules, estimates, home prices, and a host of other figures on a daily basis. Then we compound it by blogging about market information, homes listed/sold, mortgage data, etc. making it clear we are eyeball deep in raw data, statistics, and numbers galore.
That is part of the beauty that makes ActiveRain an attractive place to us. We get to share numbers and can track our progress through the ingenious points system the AR brain-trust thought up and set in motion. Brilliant (or just plain sadistic)!
If I want to see where I rank points wise in the AR universe (Lenn Harley leads the pack), determine how popular I am (Jon Washburn still reigns #1. Remember him?), or even with a bit of work want to find out who has the most featured posts (Lenn Harley) or who is top of the heap for number of overall blog posts (Joshua Zargari) I can find that information fairly quickly.
However, if I was queen bee of this hive for a day there is one change I would make! I would add a full-blown ActiveRain statistics page (to satisfy both my numbers and inquisitive nature cravings), sortable by item, that would show me the overall top 100 (pick a number) in any/all of these AR statistics:
- Posts with the most clicks
- Posts with the most views
- Posts with the most comments
- Most short URL clicks
- Most members invited
- Most comments received
- Most comments left
- Most called shots
- Most profile views
- Most profile points
- Most consecutive days with a blog post
- Most consecutive days with a feature
- Most people followed
- Most groups joined
- Most referrals made
- Most posts in draft (just kidding)
- Most ???
Yes, if I was queen bee of this hive for a day that is definitely what I would do. It's honey in the jar for this numbers cruncher!
If you like chasing or just looking at the ActiveRain statistics, what would you want added to the list?
