Kathleen Borgueta - An Angel's Voice at Washington's National Cathedral
Thank you Pat Kennedy!
I was so surprised this week when I received a phone call from Pat. She was calling me after attending a service at the National Cathedral in Washington DC. My daughter Kathleen was the soloist. Pat had seen me write about it on Facebook and knew I couldn't attend.
I have never met Pat IRL, but she was happy to take time out at the end of her day to go and listen. ActiveRain inspires the mindset to do things like this. Pat introduced herself to Kathleen after the service and took this photo. Kathleen was surprised to meet her, but knew about Pat as I have previously spoken of my AR Realtor friends. ActiveRain friendships are like that. She not only knew about Pat being a DC Realtor, but remembered the famous Willie the Labradoodle. Thanks again Pat, you are the Best!
Kathleen Borgueta - An Angel's Voice at Washington's National Cathedral
Last week, I happened to stumble on a note that Janis Borgueta posted on Facebook, mentioning that she was so proud of her songbird daughter, Kathleen, who was going to be singing at the National Cathedral on Wednesday evening. So, of course, I had to check it out.
Now, to sing at the National Cathedral, you have to be really, really good - even to sing in the choir. But Kathleen was the main soloist for a festive Choral Evensong to install a new Canon for the Episcopal Diocese of Washington. So that means she is completely amazing.
Her voice was so pure and clear and beautiful that listening made my heart skip a beat. Her angelic voice in the almost overwhelming cathedral setting was such a wonderful way to end a day of intense negotiations on a favorite listing.
Thank you, Kathleen!
