As they have twice a year for each of the last five years,
Sam Boswell Honda held their Flag Retirement Ceremony today.
(me, O'Neal Boswell, Terri Boswell)
As Senior Vice Commander of V.F.W. Post 6683, I was privileged to be the Master of Ceremony today and the Post was in charge of coordinating the event. Also participating were the American Legion Post 73 (I'm Judge Advocate in it), DAV Chapter 9, CAMV 28-3, Patriot Riders Motorcycle Club, Boy Scout Troop 150, Cub Scout Pack 77, and Girl Scout Troop 9241.
Our gracious Host and Sponsor, O'Neal & Sam Boswell along with Ms. Terri Boswell, had the Staff at Boswell Honda cook hot-dogs and hamburgers for the attendees.
A special thanks to our Post Commander, Mr. Bob Cooper and our Quartermaster, the esteemed Mr. Connie Hudson, for their valuable part. Along with out Post Chaplin, Mr. Ben McKee, and Post Bugler, Mr. Bill Blackstock and the other Post members who came out and helped.
These are some shots of the ceremony and a nice video & article that a local television station did on it.
A few photos.
