Character is Built . . . . on a Chain of Events
“Character isn’t inherited. One builds it daily by the way one
thinks and acts, thought by thought, action by action.
If one lets fears or hate or anger take possession of
the mind, they become self-forged chains.”
Helen Douglas, House of Representatives 1946-1947
As I see it. . . . . . . .
Character is built . . . . on a chain of events
You won’t inherit character . . . . and you’re not born with character.
Most important character is a result of on purpose activity. . . . and a chain of events. Character will not be handed to you . . . . character is earned through a series your actions.
Character is not an overnight thing. Character is not found in a single thought or in a single act. Character is devolved through your actions over an extended period of time.
Your character is first devolved . . . . in your thinking.
Your character is born in your sub-conscious mind when you decide to take the high road in your life . . . . By doing what’s right because it’s the right thing to do.
Character is moving yourself to a higher level in your thinking . . . . and in your actions.
Others will notice the quality of those actions . . . . and you will stand out in your professional. Others will see you as a person of character and someone that can be trusted and counted on.
Character is built one day at the time . . . . and one action at a time. You build your character through your continued thoughts . . . . deeds . . . . and actions.
Character is built . . . . on a chain of events . . . . with on purpose activity . . . . and through determination to deliver exceptional customer service.
