Father's Day 2014 Family Fun Times at the Campbell Farmer's Market
by Michelle Carr Crowe
On Father's Day, after making my husband breakfast (something I rarely do, as he's the delicious chef in the family) and going to worship at The Home Church in Campbell, Steve, Monique and I visited the Campbell Farmer's Market.
Most Sundays, the Campbell Farmer's Market blocks off the main drag of downtown Campbell, from First Street almost to the railroad tracks along E. Campbell Avenue. Featuring gourmet food cooked on site, fresh produce from local growers (most organic), as well as art, the Campbell Farmer's Market is always a popular place.
We ran into other folks from The Home Church and the softball team, as well as one of my husband's former Cupertino High classmates. (They have a big Cupertino High School reunion coming up in August 2014).
Sadly, the clam chowder was all gone by the time we got there, but we picked up organic strawberries, raspberries, raisins, cherries, apricots and white nectarines, along with handmade spinach flatbread and garlic mint, sun-dried tomato and basil pesto dips.
