 This week’s report on home values for Mission Viejo and surrounding areas homes is prepared by a Mission Viejo Realtor Tim Lorenz shows.  The report shows the Orange County Median Prices for resale homes were up 8.3 percent, for new homes up 16.5 percent and for resale condos up 11.0 percent. The sales volume is down for resale homes 21.0 percent and down 22.4 percent on condos and up 18.1 percent for new homes. 

 

  • Mission Viejo Zip Code 92691 sales prices are up 15.5 percent and the sales volume is down 23.6  percent.
  • Mission Viejo Zip Code 92692 sales prices are up 17.4 percent and the sales volume is down 45.2  percent.
  • Aliso Viejo sales prices are up 31.5 percent and the sales volume is down 10.1  percent.
  • Laguna Niguel sales prices are up 7.5 percent and the sales volume is down 8.7 percent.
  • Rancho Santa Margarita sales prices are up 13.6 percent and the sales volume down 20.7 percent.
  • San Clemente Zip Code 92672 sales prices are up 13.9 percent and the sales volume is down 34.5 percent.
  • San Clemente Zip Code 92673 sales prices are up 16.9 percent and the sales volume is down 17.2 percent. 

 

 What a difference a week can make all of these cities are down and by a big margin with the sales volume.  We will have to look at the next couple of weeks to see if this means the market has slowed almost to a stop.
