Bonnethead Shark - Caught In St Joseph's Sound Florida

We do indeed have our share of sharks around here and today's photo is a bonnethead shark.

Ronnie caught this guy on a pin fish while we were out fishing today. We actually saw three good size tarpon swim within twenty feet of the boat! They were after mullet and today Ronnie did not bring his cast net, so no mullet for bait.

We got out on the water around 7 am so that we could be back at the boat ramp by a little after one. That makes a great day on the water before the heat of the day sets in!

Barbara-Jo, this actually looks like a "happy" shark! They usually don't seem to smile so much as sneer, but this one looks sweet....

Hello Barbara Jo. That is very fascinating! The water looks so green, refreshing, and beautiful, however, I would never swim in it! Excellent Shark Photos though!
