This weekend is the official start of Summer! If you're in the mood to sit on your porch and just enjoy a cold drink, we can't blame you, but if you're looking for somewhere to go and something to do well then you're in luck! Here are four events this weekend in Lancaster, PA:
1. Music Friday In Downtown Lancaster- It's the 3rd Friday of the month so music will be heard in downtown Lancaster. Have dinner at one of the many great restaurants and then stop by Binns Park to hear live music. 150 North Queen Street, Lancaster PA.
2. Family Movie Night- WJTL, a local radio station, is having a free movie night. Located at the Junction Center in Manheim, they are showing Jonah a Veggie Tales Movie at 7:00pm. Kettle Corn and Turkey Hill products available for purchase. Turkey Hill proceeds go to WJTL to hep with the cost of the event. Come early to ride the WJTL Pedal Cars! 1875 Junction Center Road, Manheim PA.
3. Tour The Farm- Verdant View Farm, a local family dairy farm. Milk a cow, feed a calf, go inside a chicken coop, take a guided walking tour of the farm and interact with rabbits, goats, chickens, ducks, and cows. Learn how cows turn feed into milk, why the cows wear earrings, and tour the large barn. Also includes an excursion by tractor and wagon through farm fields. 4. Les Miserables- Fulton Theater in downtown Lancaster is showing this famous musical until July 13th. Visit their website here for tickets and times. 12 North Prince Street, Lancaster.
