Today is National Take Your Dog To Work Today

Today is “take your dog to work today” which is a national program. They estimate over 1.5 million pet owners will participate today. I took my Chihuahua several years ago but she was nervous and growling so she now stays at home instead. Not all pets are suitable for this type of adventure and you must get your employers permission also.

Today is National Take Your Pet To Work Today

How many have participated in the past years? How about today?

Morning Kristin~ We don't have a dog, or a cat, or any pets. Wish we did, but we're not home long enough to be a good human for a companion animal! :-)

That has to be a fun event!  I no longer have a dog, after my beloved American Eskimo, Kodi Bear died last year.  But, I can see that as being a great work day.

Hi Donna,

I think that is a wonderful reason not to have a pet and I commend you for being so responsible. We have a terrific Pet Resort nearby and take our group there when we travel and I think they have a lot of fun plus they put their pictures on websites so we can view them from wherever we are in the world. Makes me feel better to see them daily.

Hi Myrl,

I remember when your Kodi Bear died last year. I had a Miniature Eskimo dog Snowy and she passed on 5 years ago....gone but never forgotten.

We take our dog into the office occasionally.  When my husband was in the Army, he raised our puppy in his office, and she slept under his desk.

Hi Bette,

Sounds like you have a well behaved dog there. Mine would be growling at people walking by; been there and done that. Of course my terrier would lick everyone who walked in after she barked. They all have different personalities.

I am fortunate that they have allowed me to bring my little girl (110#s) to the office every day.  She is toted as the office mascot.  Fortunate are we both.

Hi Mark,

I think it is so nice when a pet is allowed to be in an office. Visitors are greeted and almost all people love animals so it is a win-win for all plus the pet is not left alone every day. Yes you are very fortunate.
