The new Lakewood Ranch park is currently being overhauled on 150 acres off Lakewood Ranch Boulevard between Lakewood Ranch High School and the Lakewood Ranch Y. It will be an even greater draw for all new homeowners, as it will include tennis and basketball courts, as well as soccer, racquetball, tee ball, softball, baseball and football fields that will be open year-round.
Manatee County is currently excavating a new 1.25-acre stormwater pond at the park entrance to ensure that the park remains in peak condition even during the rainy season.
Lakewood Ranch Park was originally built in 2012, but the current expansions will make the park truly world class. The town will be adding new pavilions, additional restrooms, several new parking areas and storage areas.
While these new updates will certainly increase the desirability of homes in Lakewood Ranch, they are still expanding into new sections of the development, so there are still lots and homes available.
