What Happens After the Deal?
Sheila sends a strong message here for all agents and Realtors. Following up with your clients AFTER the deal is a very good thing. We've hit the point in our careers where a good portion of our business is referrals from our past clients. You have to stay in touch. It just makes sense!
Any licensee can make a deal. Almost any licensee can close a deal. But the licensee who follows up after the deal is closed is the one who is in business for the long haul. I am constantly amazed by the number of agents who never speak to their clients once they have concluded the transaction, and then are surprised when they see the listing come up a few years later. No one is so good that staying in touch doesn't matter. The first rule in business is if you don't care about the client, the client has no reason to think about you. If you think this can't happen to you, think again. How often have you called someone you used years ago who hasn't kept in touch with you? Can you spell never?
