What a busy weekend ahead on the Isthmus in Downtown Madison. Lots of options to keep the whole family occupied and having a good time. Fireworks, bugs and log rolling are just a few things. Make time to discover what entire Madison area has to offer this weekend.

It Sounds like a Burlesque Routine but it's Really a Fireworks Show

The big event is Rhythm and Booms, new location & new energy! The event that has usually been held at Warner Park has been moved to the downtown lakefront not far from the Monona Terrace. Since the fireworks will be set off from a barge on the lake, boating in the area will be restricted. The city is also closing part of John Nolen Dr. for the event and people will be allowed to pick the perfect spot along the lakefront for their blankets. There will be a cornucopia of food venders. You will find me inline for my favorite Bacon & Sausage on a stick from The Smokin’ Cantina.  Live music on the Marcus Stage from 2 to 11pm and the Mad-City Ski team will be preforming from 5 to 7pm on Lake Monona.
