The Block Street Hot Club with Miles Bowlin ( bass), Ryan Ashworth( guitar), Baron Lyle ( guitar) Felipe Todescan Antonio ( violin) will preform this Saturday at the Fayetteville Farmer's Market.
Their music is on the leading edge of the "Gypsy Jazz " music scene. This music often said to have been started by guitarist Jean "Django" Reinhardt in the 1930s.Django was foremost among a group of Romani guitarists working in and around Paris in the 1930s through the 1950s. One of my favorite tunes that the group performs is "Sweet Georgia Brown".
This photo was taken at their performance a fews weeks back at the Bentonville Farmer's Market.
